Provider terms

Many Of Us provider terms

Version 2026-10-22

1. About these terms

1.1 These terms are between you, the provider, and Simoka Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [to be added]), trading as Many Of Us (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at manyofusapp@gmail.com.

1.2 They apply when you sign up as a provider and whenever you run a group that we organise. By ticking “I agree to the provider terms”, you accept them.

1.3 Many Of Us is in a pilot in Cobham and Weybridge. We may update these terms as we learn. We'll tell you about any change at least 14 days before it applies to new groups. Groups you've already accepted keep the terms that applied when you accepted them.

1.4 Signing up is free. It doesn't oblige you to take any group, and it doesn't guarantee you any work.

2. Joining and checks

2.1 After you sign up, we have a short call with you about your service, availability and prices.

2.2 Before your first group, we check your ID (you send us a photo of a document through a secure link, and we delete it once we've checked it) and your references and reviews, as a person and as a business. We don't currently check right to work or criminal records. A DBS check is optional (see section 6).

2.3 You confirm that what you tell us is true and up to date, and that you'll tell us if anything changes, such as your prices, availability, insurance or DBS status.

2.4 We may decide not to offer you groups, for example if we can't confirm your references or reviews.

3. How groups work

3.1 Families nearby tell us what they need. When enough of them want something you offer, we send you an offer with the families' first names and area, the day, place and price. You decide whether to accept it.

3.2 A group only goes ahead once enough families have confirmed and paid. Families have 48 hours to confirm after they see you as the provider and the final price. If a group doesn't reach its minimum, it doesn't run, and nobody is charged or paid. In the pilot, each new cycle of a recurring service (a visit, a month or a block of classes) is confirmed by families in the same way, within 48 hours.

3.3 Once we send an offer, its details are fixed: you as the provider, your price, the minimum and maximum, the day, time, place, start date, number of sessions and, for hourly services, the hours for each home. If anything needs to change, we withdraw the offer and send a new one. Families aren't charged for a withdrawn offer.

3.4 Kids' activities. You set your price per session or per day, and the fewest and most children you can take. The price is shared per child: the more children join, the less each family pays. Siblings count as separate children. For weekly classes, the first cycle of a new group is a single trial session. After it, families have 48 hours to confirm the rest in monthly blocks of about 4 sessions. The price of each block depends on how many children continue, and it's never higher than the “at most” price families saw at the start.

3.5 Home services. A group is a set of homes in one area on one day. Groups start at 3 homes, up to the most homes you can do in a day. You set:

  • a price per home by type of home (flat, terraced, semi-detached or detached) for window cleaning, gutter cleaning and pest control, and by oven type for oven cleaning;
  • a price per boiler for a boiler service;
  • an hourly rate for cleaning, gardening and small repairs (handyman). Families tell us the size of the home or garden, or the jobs they need. You estimate the time before we send the offer, and the price is your hourly rate for that time;
  • a quote per job for other services.

3.6 Group discount for home services. Each home pays your price minus a discount for the number of homes in the group: 1 or 2 homes, no discount; 3 or more, 10% off; 5 or more, 15% off; 8 or more, 20% off. You can offer a bigger discount at any step, but not a smaller one.

3.7 After a group is confirmed, we send you a service order with the details, and we send families the information they need for the day. We don't share your phone number or email with families by default.

4. Prices, our fee and payment

4.1 Families pay your price, as set out in section 3. We don't add anything on top.

4.2 Our fee is 10% of what families pay for each group, including renewals of a group we organised. Card processing fees also come out of what families pay. You receive the rest. For example, if families pay £120 in total for a session, you receive £108, minus card fees.

4.3 We'll tell you at least 30 days before we change our fee. A change never applies to a group you've already accepted.

4.4 We collect payment from families and pay you within 7 days after each session or visit, by bank transfer to the account you give us.

4.5 You're responsible for your own tax and National Insurance, and for VAT if you're registered for it.

4.6 Refunds. If we refund a family because of something you're responsible for, such as a late arrival or a service not delivered as agreed, the refund comes out of your payout and our 10% stays based on the original amount. If we refund a family because of our mistake, or as a goodwill gesture, we pay for it and your payout doesn't change. If you've already been paid, the amount is taken off your next payout.

5. Delivering the service

5.1 You'll deliver the service you described, at the agreed day, time and place, with reasonable skill and care.

5.2 If you can't make it. Tell us as soon as you can, and at least 48 hours before, except in an emergency. We'll try to find a substitute or move the session.

5.3 If you don't turn up. We first try to find a substitute. If we can't, every family gets a full refund, you're not paid for that session or visit, and we don't charge our fee. We record every missed session or visit, with or without a good reason, and it counts towards how we assess providers (see section 11).

5.4 If a family isn't happy. We'll talk to you first. If the service wasn't delivered as agreed, we may refund the family, as set out in section 4.6.

5.5 Hourly services. The hours you estimate before the offer set a fixed price for the visit. Families are never charged more than the amount they approved. If a family asks for more work on the day, tell us: we agree it with them and charge it separately.

5.6 After each session or visit, tell us the actual time it took, so we can keep estimates fair.

5.7 Services that need a registration or certificate. You must hold any registration the law requires for your service and keep it up to date. For example, anyone servicing a gas boiler must be on the Gas Safe Register, and pest control must be carried out by someone trained to use the products safely. Tell us your registration details when you sign up.

6. Working with children

6.1 If you work with children, you're responsible for keeping them safe while they're in your care, and for following safeguarding good practice for your activity.

6.2 An enhanced DBS check is optional. If you don't have one, we tell the families in your group before they confirm, and we can help you apply for one. If you have one, you can share it with us through a secure link. Never send it by email or WhatsApp. We delete documents like your ID, DBS, insurance and qualifications once we've checked them, and keep only the date and who checked them.

6.3 Unless the families have agreed otherwise in advance, a parent or carer must drop off and collect each child, and you won't be alone with a child outside the agreed session.

6.4 Tell us straight away about any accident, safeguarding concern or complaint involving a child.

7. Working directly with families

7.1 We bring you families you didn't know before. For 12 months after you first meet a family through Many Of Us, you agree to book any further sessions or visits with them through us, including renewals, rather than directly.

7.2 This doesn't apply to families who were already your clients before Many Of Us. If such a family joins a group through us, our fee applies to that group as usual.

8. Data and privacy

8.1 We share with you only what you need to deliver the service, such as families' first names, the address or venue, the time, and any notes they've agreed to share.

8.2 You'll use this information only to deliver the service, keep it secure, and delete it when you no longer need it. You won't use it to market to families or share it with anyone else. This includes any photos or videos a family shares of their home: we delete them 30 days after the last visit, and you shouldn't keep copies.

8.3 Our privacy notice explains how we use your own details.

9. Reviews

9.1 Families may rate and review you after each group. We show your rating, reviews and how often families rebook you only once that information exists. Until then, you can share reviews from other sites, such as Google. We check them and show your rating with a link to the source and a note that we didn't collect them.

9.2 Reviews must be honest. You won't post or ask for reviews of yourself under another name. You can ask us to look at a review you think is unfair.

10. Insurance, responsibility and status

10.1 You work as an independent business, not as our employee, worker or agent. You decide how you deliver your service, using your own tools and products.

10.2 We recommend you hold public liability insurance. You're responsible for any loss or damage you cause while delivering the service.

10.3 We organise groups and payments, but we don't deliver the services. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the fees we earned from your groups in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

11. Suspension and removal

11.1 We want families to be able to rely on every provider on Many Of Us. We may suspend or remove a provider from the platform if, for example, they repeatedly miss sessions or visits without good reason, cancel at short notice, receive consistently poor reviews, give false information, arrange services directly with families they met through us, or behave in a way that puts families or children at risk.

11.2 Where there is a risk to anyone's safety, we may suspend a provider immediately. In other cases, we will normally tell the provider about our concern first and give them a chance to respond and improve.

11.3 We make these decisions based on the records we keep, such as attendance, reviews and complaints, and we may update the standards we expect as the service develops. If a provider is suspended or removed, we will arrange a replacement or refunds for any confirmed groups, and pay any amounts already owed to the provider, less any refunds they are responsible for.

12. Ending this agreement

12.1 You can stop working with us at any time by telling us. You'll still deliver any group you've already accepted, unless we agree otherwise.

12.2 We can end this agreement as set out in section 11, or if we close the pilot. We'll tell you why, unless the law stops us.

12.3 Sections 4 (for payments and refunds still due), 7, 8 and 10 continue after this agreement ends.

13. Law and contact

13.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute.

13.2 If you have a question or a complaint, write to us at manyofusapp@gmail.com. We'll reply within 5 working days.
