Privacy notice: pre-registration forms

Many Of Us is run by Simoka Ltd, a company founded by Aline Okada and Mariana Simão. Simoka Ltd’s registration in England and Wales is pending. Until it is complete, Aline and Mariana are jointly responsible for the information you give us in these forms. Once Simoka Ltd is registered, it will take over that responsibility, and we will update this notice with its company number and registered address.

Families: your name, email address, mobile number and how you’d like us to contact you; what you’re looking for, your postcode, the days and times that suit you and how far you’d travel; for children’s activities, the number of children and their ages (never their names); for home help, the details needed to understand and price the job; how you heard about us; and your answers to the optional questions.

If you add notes about a child’s needs, we keep them only if you tick the box that allows it, and we share them only with the provider chosen for your group.

If you tell us about a provider you’d like to work with, we contact them. We only tell them it was you if you tick the box that allows it.

Providers: your name, business and contact details, the services you offer, where and when you work, your prices and group size, what you usually earn today (only for our team, never shown to families), links to your reviews, and which checks you have (such as insurance or a DBS certificate). We never ask you to upload documents in the form.

• To find other people nearby who want the same thing, and to contact you about your request or your services.
• To find and invite the right providers and prepare groups for when the platform opens.
• To send you news about new groups or demand in your area, only if you tick that box.
• To invite you to a short chat, only if you say yes.

We use your answers to take the steps you asked us to take, with your consent where we’ve asked for it (news, research chats and notes about a child’s needs), and for our legitimate interest in understanding local demand. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Only the two of us. The forms are hosted by Tally, which stores the answers for us. When our platform opens, we’ll move your answers into our own systems and delete them from Tally within 30 days.

We never sell your information. We never show your name, address or contact details to other families: anything we show publicly is a count, such as “6 families nearby”.

If no group forms for your request, we delete your information 12 months after our last contact with you. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email manyofusapp@gmail.com.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.

These forms are for adults. Parents and carers give information about their children; we don’t ask children to fill them in.
